Canary Admin Services with Sabrina L. Williams opened its doors in October of 2011 and from the start, one of my main priorities was to operate under the premise of complete transparency and honesty in all its dealings. This work ethic promotes a healthy business relationship with clients, collaborators and third parties that encourages clarity and unambiguity whilst eliminating misunderstandings or more importantly, an atmosphere of distrust.
My mission is to build strong client relationships that see them succeed in the long-term with their business ventures. In this office clients are not mere numbers and Canary Admin Services’ work method is one that focuses more on the person behind each business, results and real value for money.
One of my main goals is to offer my clients a basic working knowledge of the Spanish tax system to enable them to operate their businesses in a logical and functional way on a daily basis. By taking care of their official accounts, tax and labour needs, they have more energy to focus on their own daily operations and forge lasting client relationships of their own to actually grow their businesses.
When I created Canary Admin Services, I most certainly did not envisage what I have now. My initial concept has evolved over time for the better and I have been able to listen to the needs of my clients to be able to branch out and offer more and more services that help better their overall experience as business owners. When it comes to general paperwork matters, the same applies.
This Office has been able to cater to people of all nationalities and backgrounds regardless of the type of service they have been looking for. Countless N.I.E. certificates, pensions, non-resident tax returns, businesses and property purchases have been handled in what I can only hope my clients consider to be a professional and efficient service. The satisfaction I receive from providing these services and seeing the procedure through from start to finish is the only motivation I need to keep moving forward and striving to improve the way Canary Admin Services operates from this day on.

The face behind Canary Admin Services
Although I’m originally from the UK, I’ve lived in the Canaries for more than 20 years now, first in Lanzarote and now in Fuerteventura and I honestly don’t see myself leaving anytime soon, it is a great place to live and work. Anyhow, the reason why I decided to create Canary Admin Services was because I perceived a need on the islands for quality administration support, especially for the smaller companies. Many friends and others I have formed business relationships with seemed bogged down with excess work that became stressful. After thinking about it and carrying out a lot of research (and realizing that the Virtual Assistant business already existed!), I found the perfect solution. Why not make good use of my own administration skills to help them and at the same time take the opportunity to start my own business? Becoming self-employed and owning my own business has always been one of my goals so I grabbed the chance to do something about it.
I have quality Administration skills which is precisely what I studied at college but asides from that, I also have good organizational skills that form a key part in this profession. As a person, I am dedicated to the project at hand and I use logic to overcome possible problems that may arise. As I mentioned at the beginning, I have lived in the Canaries for some time now and I finished my education here so I can speak and write Spanish fluently and I am extremely familiar with the local system and procedures. All of my prior jobs have been admin related (Billing Department for a major Tour Operator, Commercial Administration Manager for a large Estate Agency, Billing Department for a private school and similar positions) so I have been able to complete my work experience in various environments and fulfil a variety of tasks that now allow me to give you the service you deserve. Of course, I am also willing to learn new skills and tricks if the project requires it. I am able to listen to a client’s criteria and needs and work towards that end in a professional manner.

On arriving on the island of Fuerteventura, one of my first priorities was to buy a car. My Spanish is extremely limited so, being new to the island, I trusted in the advice of friends who recommended that I use the services of Sabrina Williams, based at Canary Admin Services. Again, I had heard various horror stories about being careful to use the right people to help you out but I had no option but to put my trust in the advice of friends. Smart move! I met with Sabrina and she explained the procedure to me. She then accompanied me to apply for my NIE and and on another day she took care of the paperwork for the car purchase. The overall experience was brilliant, I would highly recommend using her services as for me, she made what looked like a very complex process very simple indeed by taking out all the hard work. Whilst it may be tempting to cut corners and try and save a bit of money, unless you are fluent in Spanish and understand how the system works, it really is not worth it in my opinion. A very satisfied customer!
